This announcement replaces the version released at 4.20pm today under RNS number
0302M.  Please note that the date of suspension has been amended to read the 27
September 2007.



Compact Power Holdings plc (the "Company") announces that its two principal
operating subsidiaries, Compact Power Limited and BATNECC (Bristol) Limited were
yesterday placed into administration by a secured creditor of the Company and
its subsidiaries.  This step has been taken following a demand by the secured
creditor for an immediate repayment of his secured debt which the Company has
been unable to comply with.



The administrator is Solomon Cohen of Pitman Cohen (telephone number: 020 8841
5252).



Trading in the Company's shares was suspended on 27 September 2007 pending
publication of the Company's accounts for the year ended 31 March 2007 and the
securing of further funding for the Company and a proposed new plant at
Avonmouth.
