Singapore Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYSE: SGF), a
closed-end equity fund, announced today Martin Gruber has resigned as a Director of the
Fund. Mr. Gruber served on the Fund as both a Director and member
of the Audit Committee since 2000.
